Privacy policy
What we collect
If you write to us, through the contact form when one is available or by email, we collect the email address you give us, a phone number if you choose to provide one, and the text of your request.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address on this site. We also record the context of your visit: the page you subscribed from, the address of the site that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you followed, your browser's user agent, and your IP address. We share your email address with the service that delivers the newsletter; your subscription is then also subject to that service's terms and privacy policy. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link.
If you book a call, scheduling is handled by our scheduling provider, which collects the details you enter to make the booking under its own privacy policy. We record the booking in our internal workspace. When a booking completes, we send a completion event to Google Analytics that does not include your name or email.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, roughly where visitors come from, and which devices they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects your IP address, which Google uses to approximate your location. We do not use it to identify you personally and we do not use it for advertising.
Why we collect it
To respond to your inquiry, to send you the newsletter you asked for, and for nothing else. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you subscribe to it.
Confidentiality
Inquiries about a possible transaction are commercially sensitive and we treat them that way. Information you send us is handled on a need-to-know basis within Relayzero.
Sending us an inquiry does not by itself create an advisory relationship or a duty of confidence beyond the above. If you need protection before telling us something, ask us for a non-disclosure agreement first and we will put one in place.
Where it goes
Inquiries, subscriptions and bookings are recorded in our internal workspace so they reach the right person and are not lost. We may share the data we collect with the service providers that run parts of the site and our operations: Calendly, Substack, Google, Railway and Notion. They process it under their own terms.
We are based in the United States and process data there. If you visit from elsewhere, you are sending information to the United States, where privacy law may differ from your own.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry records for as long as we have a business reason to, and then delete them.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold and limit access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to object to how we use it. If you are a California resident, this includes the rights to know what we have collected about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. Contact us at the address in the terms of service and we will deal with the request.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Cookies
We use analytics cookies, set by Google Analytics, to measure how the site is used. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell data to advertisers. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Video on this site is served from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, and nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play. Other embedded third-party content, such as the scheduler, may set its own cookies when you interact with it.
This site does not show a cookie consent banner; it is directed at a United States audience. If you are somewhere that requires consent before analytics cookies are set, you can decline them with the opt-out above or block them in your browser. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals; the site does not respond to them.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
